Weight-loss Dos and Don’ts
There are so many diets created, promising us to lose weight: low fat, high fat, low carb, high carb, juice detox, cabbage soup diet, egg diet, thin air diet ... So why are we still holding on to excess weight?

Exactly because of these diets! Years of deprivation followed by wolfing down the content of the entire cupboard left our body holding onto more weight then the original excess.
When you deprive yourself of nutrients your body turns on the "famine mode", holding onto every scrape of fat it possibly can.
And when you return to your normal diet, it absorbs and holds onto every calorie it can – leaving you feel like you put on weight if you even look at food. For treatment suggestions
Weight Loss Takes Time
It takes time to break the cycle and get the body out of "famine mode". It requires nutrient dense, low calorie but filling complex foods in your diet that support detoxification.
Enjoy Healthy Foods
But most importantly: enjoy the great variety of healthy foods that God blessed us with.
Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food."
Find the Underlying Cause
In some cases there may be hormonal imbalances, thyroid problems, food allergies or other health issues behind the difficulty of losing the excess weight - therefore a thorough investigation should be the first step.
A naturopathic treatment always starts with a thorough investigation to find the root of the problem, whatever the health concern may be. We are all very individual: as there are no two snowflakes alike, neither are any two human bodies. Once we found the cause, with a tailor made menu plan and herbal supplement regime your body can be gently ushered back to health - without side effects.
